Thomas Jefferson was our country's third President. He was also a wonderful political leader and the founding father of the Democratic-Republican (Democratic) party. But beyond that he had a family and lived in a beautiful home he called Monticello. When he was in his late thirties, his wife died. From there Jefferson held the responsibility of a few kids. He also made many improvements and expansions to Monticello. To do this, he had to create some tools that made his daily life more efficient. Some of these inventions were the iron plow, polygraph, and even a macaroni machine. Jefferson is well-known today because of his determination in life, intelligence, and political contributions.
